2013 Governor's Transportation Conference

Capital City. River City. RVA.

Sitting along the banks of the majestic James River, Richmond, Virginia, has played an important part in shaping the history of transportation in America. From the site of the very first trolley system in the world, to providing the backdrop for Governor Bob McDonnell as he signed into law the Commonwealth’s historic transportation bill by the steps of Thomas Jefferson’s Capitol, there is a reason why the Richmond Visitor’s Bureau says Richmond is "Easy to Love".

This year, the 2013 Commonwealth of Virginia Governor’s Transportation Conference makes its Richmond debut. Transportation professionals from across Virginia, and those who contribute or have an interest in the Commonwealth’s transportation industry, will meet three days in December to exchange ideas and learn about the exciting changes the State will undergo as we embark on the “Road to the Future.” You are invited to join Governor Bob McDonnell and Secretary of Transportation Sean Connaughton for this annual forum, which will take place at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
